The Technology
The IMO car wash system has been perfected over 35 years and has been specifically designed to process cars faster and more professionally than competitive washes. The speed and wash quality provide the customer with exceptional value for money.

The customer simply drives up to the entrance, remains in the car and pays the operator who pre-washes the vehicle, removing any surface dirt. The vehicle is then directed on to the conveyor track, and then pulled through the wash hall in a process lasting approximately 2.5 minutes.

IMO's system uses different brush technologies to meet customer requirements, ensuring high quality cleaning. The conveyor system allows up to four cars to move through the wash hall continuously. At various stages on the conveyor, different washing applications occur, speeding up the wash process considerably, with a maximum capacity of up to 90 cars per hour.

The wash process is significantly quicker than that of traditional 'roll- over car washes' found on many petrol stations. In this process, a customer is forced to leave the vehicle, buy a token or be given a code, parks the vehicle in the wash and then sits stationary in the vehicle whilst the machine then makes a series of passes over the vehicle, each pass performing a separate application which can take up to three times longer than a standard IMO wash.
