Bret Holden Chief Executive Bret Holden, joined IMO following the Management buy-in. Prior to becoming Chief Executive at IMO, Bret worked in a variety of roles for British Petroleum, latterly as Head of Downstream Strategy (1998) and General Manager Retail UK managing over 2,000 Retail Service Stations from 1995 to 1997. Bret attended the University of Virginia where he studied International Relations, Spanish and Accounting (BA 1983) and later received an MBA with Distinction from the Darden School (1988).
Tim Richards Chief Financial Officer Tim Richards, joined IMO in 2004. Tim started his career with the Ford Motor Co. And subsequently held senior roles in multi-site businesses including Whitbread and Hertz. More recently he has been the Finance Director of private equity backed businesses. Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds degrees in Mathematics and Business Administration.
Peter Graham UK Managing Director Peter Graham, joined IMO in 2004 as Group Development Director. Peter started his career at Sainsbury’s and worked in a variety of roles. For 5 years, prior to leaving in 1999, Peter was Operations Manager for Sainsbury’s fuels business. Between 1999 and joining IMO Peter was a Director of the UK’s largest Car Wash Equipment Distributor. Peter is responsible for the 329 sites that we currently operate in the UK, and is adding approximately 20 new sites per annum. Peter received a Diploma in Management Studies from Oxford Brookes University.
Jonathan Booth Managing Director, Continental Operations Jonathan Booth, joined IMO in 2000 as UK Managing Director from BP and prior to 1996 at Mobil Oil Company, where he held a wide variety of operational roles, latterly as head of the BP European Fuel Card Business. Jonathan is now responsible for the sites throughout Europe with the exception of Germany. Jonathan is responsible for driving IMO forward in new territories, including Poland. Jonathan received an honours degree in Economic History and Politics from Leicester University.
Michael Pöhler Managing Director Germany Michael Pöhler, was appointed as a Managing Director of IMO Germany in 2001. He started his career at C & L Westdeutschland (today PWC) and worked in auditing. For 3 years prior to leaving in 1998 he worked as a controlling-manager for the former shareholder of IMO Germany, RAG. Between 1999 and 2001 he worked in the management team of IMO in several roles. Michael received a Diploma in economics from the University of Münster, Germany.
